Aubrey Graham aka Drake opened the year breaking records as his ‘Summer Sixteen’ Tour became the highest grossing hip-hop tour of all time. He also became the first artist ever to remain on the Billboard Hot 100 for 430 weeks and his 157 appearances at the number 1 spot are the most all-time for a solo artist. Drizzy and OVO collabed with Jordan on a special capsule and pair of Air Jordan 12s in February when his hometown of Toronto played host to the NBA All-Star Game. Later in March, Drake dropped his More Life playlist which played a role in helping him become the first-ever artist to reach 10 billion Spotify streams in addition to a record-setting 13 awards at the Billboard Music Awards. Drake hosted the first-ever NBA Awards show and released a single, “Signs,” for the Louis Vuitton Spring/Summer 2018 show. Then, at the eighth annual OVO Fest in Toronto, he promised his city and fans that a new album was in the works.
