visvim and its womenswear line, WMV, hit 2016 with its continued formula of Americana nostalgia wear that highlighted both an intense attention to detail and a respect for craftsmanship through traditional means rather than efficiency of time and cost. This mentality paid off when visvim was invited to 2016’s Pitti Uomo to showcase its 2017 spring/summer collection.

The brand had never put on a runway presentation before, but it pulled out all the stops for Pitti: Hiroki and co. put on a USO show-esque atmosphere that used its fashion, vibes, and a choreographed dance number to teach the Italian trade show’s audience about the intricacies and handicrafts that helped bring the garments to life.

Alongside the presentation, visvim also presented its 15th anniversary with a special “Archives” exhibition that showcased the brand’s extensive past collections.
