Kawasaki has introduced a bold new chapter in personal mobility with the launch of the CORLEO — a robotic, horse-like, off-road vehicle designed to bring the thrill of motorcycle riding to rugged, natural terrain. Engineered with four independently moving legs and advanced rider-monitoring systems, CORLEO blends Kawasaki’s motorcycle DNA with robotics to offer a new kind of outdoor adventure.

Built to conquer challenging landscapes, CORLEO’s legged mobility system is powered by drive units in each limb, delivering superior stability and shock absorption. Its swing-arm rear legs move independently from the front, smoothing out rough terrain and allowing riders to maintain a steady forward-facing posture — even while scaling steps or uneven ground.

At the heart of CORLEO lies a compact 150cc hydrogen engine that generates electricity to power its robotic legs. The hydrogen is stored in a rear-mounted canister, offering an eco-conscious energy solution without compromising performance. Each hoof is fitted with slip-resistant, rubber-based pads that grip surfaces ranging from rocky trails to grasslands.

Rider control is fully intuitive — managed through weight shifts and handlebars, with adjustable stirrups ensuring a natural riding posture. A high-tech instrument panel provides real-time feedback, including hydrogen levels, route guidance and center of gravity monitoring. At night, the system can project path markers directly onto the terrain, enhancing visibility and safety.

See the CORLEO in action in the concept video below from Kawasaki.
