Celebrating 10 Years of The Berrics Photography With Yoon Sul
“You truly are our Yoonicorn.”
To celebrate 10 years of iconic skateboarding photography by its resident photographer Yoon Sul, The Berrics has released a commemorative video as well as 10 autographed prints curated and signed by Yoon himself.
“It’s pretty much the whole story of being here at The Berrics — it’s not only about shooting photos of these amazing people; it’s growing relationships with these guys and getting to know them,” reminisces Yoon in the video interview above. “You know, all you got to see were these guys on video and you never really got to see them in person. And working here, they all come here and you spend days upon hours upon months with these guys and really get to know these guys. I think that’s really the coolest part of working here.”
Yoon continues in the video, looking back at a decade of memories with The Berrics, including his favorite moments, photographs and skaters. From this, he picked out 10 of his favorite snaps including action shots and his flat ground series, featuring Andrew Langi, Heath Kirchart, Andrew Reynolds, Jamie Thomas, Luan Oliveira, PJ Ladd, Eric Dressen, Bryan Herman, Andrew Brophy and Tony Hawk.
“Photographer Yoon Sul is the total package,” The Berrics writes. “Not only is he as professional as skate photographers get… he continues to be the life of the office, helping to lighten the mood when deadlines are getting a little too real. Thanks for all you do, Yoon. You truly are our Yoonicorn.”
Head over to The Berrics’ webstore to purchase any of Yoon’s autographed prints for $50 USD each. And if you’re looking for something more trippy, LA-based artist Nick Thomm will soon be releasing the holographic print edition of his ‘Promised Land.’
