Berdmajik Drops New Mind-Bending Video for "Circles"
Off his new ‘SPELLS’ album out now.
Donnie Felton, otherwise known as the brainchild behind Philadelphia’s Berdmajik, is best known for his work with psych-surf-indie cult favorites Grubby Little Hands. But with his latest debut project, SPELLS, the dreamy sound purveyor is bringing a whole new vibe to electro-soul with this unique blend of airy pop and melancholy vocals.
Today, we premiere the visuals for his standout single that’s influenced by people who let their “insecurities keep them from being real with each other” he tells us through email. Berdmajik also explains “As it evolved in my mind, I felt a slower, more hypnotic tempo with a soul-sample-post-Dilla vibe — which is how the album version turned out.” Meanwhile, the video was produced by Andrew Knives, an LA-based animator/videographer.
