Currently touring his way around North America, Indonesian rapper Rich Chigga took a seat with Pharrell Williams and Scott Verner on their podcast OTHERtone, which airs on Apple Music‘s Beats 1 radio station. In the interview, Rich Chigga talks about how he initially handeled all of the fame that came with his hit single, “Dat $tick,” which is currently sitting at 47 million views on YouTube.

“When I made that video, I was expecting it to be my biggest video, but I was only expecting around 100,000 views, like max,” said Rich Chigga. He also mentions that after the first week of it being online, five different publications wrote about the video. “There’s this Facebook page called ‘College Kids,’ so that’s where they picked up on it.”

Rich Chigga also talked about his dating life, where he goes into detail about how he met his last girlfriend online. Take a listen to Rich Chigga’s full conversation on OTHERtone above, and also be sure to also check out our own interview with Rich Chigga, where he reacts to the latest viral trends on the internet. On the relationship, Chigga states:

“Me and this girl, we were kinda online dating for a little bit. She lives in Maryland. Two months into the relationship, she broke up with me. The day after it happened I was feeling whatever about it. Two days later, I was just so down. I’ve never really felt depressed. I’m a happy person, so I really felt depression before, but I felt so empty. I had days where I wanted to throw up because I felt so sad.”
