Earlier in the month, Alicia Keys released the lead single in support of her forthcoming comeback album. Entitled “In Common,” the song served as the first major solo record released by Keys since the campaign behind 2012’s Girl on Fire. Now, Alicia Keys has followed up the single’s initial release by unveiling its official music video. Directed by Pierre Debusschere, the minimal vignette for “In Common” is said to be about “celebrating our individuality, and how in the brilliance of our uniqueness, the magic of it all is at the core, we are all the same.” Elaborating, Alicia Keys explains to FADER, “We want the same things. We all want to experience love, the freedom to be our truest selves, to love whomever we want and to be accepted and celebrated for all of our nuances and so called imperfections that make us, us.” You can watch the video for “In Common” above.
