MCM and Christopher Raeburn Debut "Made to Move" Line With Immersive 360 Installation
Wind, sun and rain all digitalized to help illustrate the collection’s story.

Debuting at recent London Collections Men, British designer Christopher Raeburn was tapped by luxury travel label MCM for the two’s inaugural collection dubbed “Made to Move.” Without departing far from Raeburn’s sustainable approach to design, the collection introduced new silhouettes created from materials like Scholler 4-way-stretch fabric — a water, scratch-resistant textile — and Ecolaf Nylon, which is made from recycled bottles. Such materials were also used as canvas for Raeburn’s new print renditions, the Splinter Camo, Sonic Wave and Quilted M. Accentuating the experience for an auditorium filled with buyers, editors, celebrities and trend forecasters was a 360-degree immersive installation that took attendees on an uplifting journey through a digitally-imagined weather system. Created by design studio Universal Everything and soundtracked by London duo Raime, the presentation pulled inspiration from the physics of environment, where wind, sun, rain and other atmospheric elements were digitalized to help illustrate the brand’s “Made to Move” story.
