Converse x Grotesk Mural in Boston
Kimou Meyer paints a giant mural for the first time in his career.
New York artist Kimou Meyer, or “Grotesk” as he is also known, has partnered up with Converse for Converse’s Black Canvas promotion to paint a mural in Boston. In an effort to actualize the artistry in Converse’s design aesthetic, Grotesk has taken to a brick canvas to retell a designer’s artistic journey. In the video above, watch as Grotesk expertly paints across the wall, describing his piece as a cross between anthropological research and an idea from his head. The mural has worked to create a community in a disjointed street.
