Erykah Badu Performs Social Experiment, Sings in Times Square for Money

In her most recent public, and somewhat anonymous appearance, Erykah Abi Wright, best known as Erykah Badu, took it to the streets – literally. This visual mobile production, self-crafted by the seasoned R&B singer, features her in the middle of Time Square letting out her poetic wails and kind requests for a donation from New York City pedestrians – a social experiment more or less. And although she removed her hat to remain before this light-hearted, cheerful performance, it wasn’t enough to disguise the songtsress’s distinctive voice and soulful vibe.
