Best known for his portrayal in award-winning film Lords of Dogtown, Craig Stecyk — who once co-owned Venice Beach’s legendary Jeff Ho Surfboards and Zephyr Production — has joined forces with Hurley‘s JP Olson to create a slew of flamboyant prints. The two have taken into their own hands the classic form of print making in honor of the longtime West Coast printing house, Colby Press. Garnering together vintage wooden letters and junkyard blocks as artistic tools for their work, the two have strung together a dynamic installation at Hurley’s H Space. The short above offers a glimpse of the installation, one which odes of ’70s psychedelia and Californian surf and skate sensibility, further reflecting Zephyr and Hurley’s bohemian motifs. Hurley is set to release a number of T-shirts featuring the chromatic designs, which will be available through Hurley.
