CloudRaker: A Chat with Brian Takumi at Oakley HQ

Meeting up at the company’s headquarters in Foothill Ranch, CA, CloudRaker sits down for a talk with Brian Takumi, Creative Director of Special Projects and Surface Graphics at Oakley. Takumi relates some of the things he’s encountered while working for the company over the years and also speaks a little bit about his background, and how growing up in Los Angeles and being exposed to streetwear still influences him today. According to Takumi, Oakley takes its production very seriously, not only making sure that the design, technology and performance of each piece is up to par but also owning its own manufacturing instead of importing and exporting from factories, making it much more efficient to handle production changes.
