Pharrell Williams x Yi Zhou “The Greatness” - A Closer Look

Following 2009’s “The Ear,” Yi Zhou has again featured Pharrell Williams in one of her surrealist videos. As previewed here, 3D modelling software provides the technology required to create the opening elements of the video entitled “The Greatness.” First shown at Zhou’s “I AM YOUR SIMULARCRUM” exhibition, the visual work of art runs for approximately five and half minutes and is equally thought provoking and chilling. Perfectly complemented with music by Ennio Morricone, the video journeys through a series of dimensions and alternate worlds, using similar aesthetics and themes first explored in “The Ear.” Enjoy!
