LA native Aleali May is difficult to label. Since studying Business Marketing at Columbia College she’s branched into image consultancy, modelling and also runs her own fashion blog – in short, she dabbles in a lot of things. Having previously worked as a sales representative for Virgil Abloh and Just Don’s RSVP Gallery, the fledgling fashion aficionado has continued to impress followers this year thanks to her bold and intuitive sense of fashion. Styling the likes of Kendrick Lamar and Wiz Khalifa is no joke and this year, aged only 25, May has made a landmark statement by becoming just the second woman to collaborate with Jordan Brand, and the first to release a pair of sneakers available in men’s and kids sizes as well. Unveiled back in October, May’s Air Jordan 1 “Satin Shadows” was limited to only a couple thousand pairs and warranted a full-scale takeover of UNDEFEATED’s LA shop on launch day.
