G-Star RAW Collaborates With Aitor Throup to Create Newfangled Denim Capsule

In 2015, G-Star RAW partnered with designer Aitor Throup to work on an experimental capsule that features only denim garments. The result? A crisp, modern line-up that consists of twenty pieces made with high-quality, Italian selvedge. Notable details in the collection include straps on a denim jacket, covert pockets woven into a pair of jeans, and a deployable bag consolidated on a quintessential parka. According to Wallpaper, the London-based designer said of his approach, “My brain is constantly obsessing with building product from the inside out. When you build things anatomically, the surface can only be informed by the process that came before it. RAW Research is a place to think of new possibilities. Just how far can we push jeans?”
The entire collection was produced in a laboratory located at G-Star RAW’s Amsterdam headquarters. The collection is slated to release this November.
