Since Alessandro Michele stepped into the role of creative director at Gucci in 2015, the brand has seen year-on-year success. In 2018, the brand took to creative expansion, opening Gucci ArtLab in Florence, an experimentation laboratory dedicated to leather goods. The brand also opened a new store in SoHo New York which includes the Gucci Wooster Bookstore. Elsewhere, Michele entered design collaborations ranging from Ignasi Monreal to the New York Yankees. Gucci also continued its ArtWalls project, unveiling mural installations globally and honoring the likes of Marina Abramović.
