Since your first collection, what are the biggest challenges you’ve faced? What have been your biggest learnings?

I have learned that you never stop learning. There are many challenges as it moves at an extreme pace and demands a lot. However, this is what makes it exciting and addictive as a process and as an industry.

You altered your designs for Alien: Covenant; can you describe the alterations that made the garments suitable for otherworldly travel?

The opportunity to work with Janty Yates and Ridley Scott on the Alien: Covenant costumes was a huge honor for me—I have been a horror and sci-fi fan from a young age. The pieces we developed for the film were part of my AW15 collection and further developed the fit, construction, and colors for film and camera. It was an amazing opportunity to learn about the process of film costume.

After winning at The Fashion Awards this year, what is your thought process in approaching the following season?

Winning British Menswear Designer of the Year was a huge achievement for the brand and something I never thought possible. I think it is important however not to rest on your laurels, to always keep pushing and moving things forward.

Do you have any expectations for where the industry is headed? What issues does it face?

I think the fact that it cannot be predicted is what keeps it exciting. What has been your highlight for 2017?

One of the many highlights was creating Marilyn Manson's custom jacket for the opening look of his ‘Heaven Upside Down’ Tour.
