Following a slew of noteworthy collaborations in 2016, Russian designer/photographer/stylist Gosha Rubchinskiy continued on the same trajectory in 2017. The announcements started early, with adidas Football confirming a multi-season deal with the designer in January as part of the run up to the 2018 World Cup in Russia. The first pieces from the “Football Collection” were subsequently unveiled at Rubchinskiy’s show in Kaliningrad, Russia. In June, Rubchinskiy also unveiled a collaboration with British heritage label Burberry on a ‘90s-inspired capsule. Known for his references to post-Soviet youth culture, 2017 saw Rubchinskiy continue to take this worldwide as the designer worked with two of the most iconic subcultural brands from across Europe.
