Achievement
2017 marks the 10-year anniversary of Boris Bidjan Saberi’s eponymous label. The half-German, half-Parisian designer has pushed the boundaries of avant-garde design for the decade that he’s been producing clothing. Saberi’s predilection towards color saturation sets him apart from other avant-garde designers, as do the disparate influences he draws from for each collection. Launched in 2013, the designer’s street and sportswear-focused diffusion line 11 incorporates visible branding, technical fabrics and bold graphics into its functional, lifestyle-focused collections. The line has also yielded two streetwear-ready sneaker collaborations: 2014’s Reebok Pump Fury and several Salomon releases in 2017. Thanks to 11’s striking imagery and elevated approach to casual clothing, the designer has found a wider audience while still staying true to his conceptual creed.
