Prada continues to step up its chunky sneaker offerings with the release of its latest silhouette, the Block Low. Dropping in a predominantly black colorway finished with touches of blue, red, grey and yellow, the new design further showcases Prada’s technical and tactical influences.
The Miuccia Prada-helmed label brings both old and new design elements to the Block Low, with traditional Prada Milano branding on the tongue and a rubberized branded strap at the rear adding a nod to the house’s sports-indebted days in the ’90s. Further sporting elements come in the form of yellow and black rope laces, a mixed fabrication made up of leather, suede and mesh, and a rear heel loop finished in grey leather.
One of the most notable components of the Block Low is its chunky stance. The sole unit is raised by 75mm and, like its name, features various segmented blocks along the foot. Rounding out this new sneaker is the label’s moniker debossed into the rear of the rubber midsole.
