Get familiar with Walrus Ghost, as you’ll likely be hearing more from him in 2014. Today, get a first listen to Walrus Ghost‘s Uplifting Themes For The Naysayer album which is essentially a conversation between organic sound and artificial design. Immersed in rich textures and the meticulous processing of analog instrumentation, the songs facilitate moments of exchange between tranquil subtleties and abrasive tensions. These intertwining moments come and go as the record plays out, but they follow us throughout, leaving us with a soundscape that exists in both beautiful harmony and eerie decay. And if you’re wondering about the sublmie artwork, that was designed by by a London-based architect/designer named Luke Caspar Pearson. Uplifting Themes For the Naysayer is available now through 12” vinyl here and digital formats here. A portion of the proceeds will also go towards the ‘Doctor’s Without Borders’ and ‘Food Bank For NYC’ charities.
