clothsurgeon’s New "Gallery" Collection Is All About Layers
Featuring a suede overcoat and utility vest.
clothsurgeon, aka Rav Matharu, is best known for reworked and upcycled garment production and the Leeds-born designer has just presented a new “Gallery” collection for Fall/Winter 2022.
Over recent times, the Savile Row-based label has opened its new flagship store — which Hypebeast looked inside — and has also dropped a flurry of collaborations with Coca-Cola that look into the heritage of the beverage brand. Now, clothsurgeon is taking things back to basics with a new solo collection of contemporary pieces from outerwear, to utility-styled layering garments that are designed to brave the winter elements.
Highlights from the collection are the 100% linen Utility Vest which comes packed with a two-way RiRi zip, along with cargo pockets with velcro closure at the front. Also, the vest comes with additional pockets on the left and right chest.
Other stand-outs come in the form of the Lux Suede Overcoat which is designed with welted flat pockets at the front, with three extra interior jet pockets. A single vent is included on the back, and the cuffs are crafted with two-button adjustable straps. Rounding off the design, the jacket is finished with a fully-lined brown silk twill.
You can have a closer look at the “Gallery” collection from clothsurgeon above and it is available on the brand’s official website now.
