Percival Taps Stylist Harry Lambert for a Whimsical Nightshade-Inspired Capsule Collection

From dressing Harry Styles and Emma Corrin to designing his own charming clothes.

Few stylists can claim a clientele roster including Harry Styles, Josh O’Connor, Emma Corrin, and Dominic Calvert Lewin, but that’s exactly who the British creative Harry Lambert is dressing. His eye picks out a combination of it-items and runway-worn looks, custom pieces, and picture-grabbing garments, in turn creating memorable outfits for both the talent being dressed and the fashion industry (need we remind you of Styles’ divisive feather boa or that controversial custom Gucci dress seen in his Vogue shoot?). Now, all these years of work have paid off, as the British label Percival has announced its next collaborator is, indeed, Mr. Lambert himself.

Drawing inspiration from the world of botanicals, particularly Nightshade — something Lambert is actually allergic to — the collection finds itself centering around the family of foods, notably the humble aubergine, pepper and tomato. Nightshade itself is a deep aubergine hue, often complex in its earthy undertones, and these shades work alongside cartoonified foods in a charming, whimsical collection that’s quintessentially Lambert, as if made to be worn by his clients.

Yarn-dyed poplin and textured jersey build oversized shirts, while knitted mohair vests and wide-leg stay-press pleated trousers accentuate that easy, relaxed, loose and fun feel that the stylist frequently pulls upon in his work. A friendly snail is knitted into a brown sweater, argyle knits are timeless and add to the overarching atmosphere of this collection, and tie-dyed long-sleeve T-shirts are printed with the Nightshade food family alongside dual branding and the quote “Quite Tricky Quite Pricey,” which features frequently throughout the range.

Chris Gove, the co-founder of Percival, says of the collection: “Working with Harry was a dream come true for us. I think this collection really symbolizes what we are about as a brand, and it would not be possible without Harry’s brilliant eye for color and design. We’re delighted with how this collection has come to life.”

Harry Lambert’s collaboration with Percival can be seen in the lookbook above, and the collection will be available to buy online or in-store from November 10.
