人氣遊戲《Fortnite》或將在 iOS 平台上終止運行
Apple 正式與 Epic Games 宣戰。
在上週，推出人氣遊戲《Fortnite》的公司 Epic Games 正式控告 Apple 和 Google，原因在於是因爲 Epic Games 在遊戲內增添了一項可供玩家直接付款的選項，得以規避 Apple 和 Google 應用程式商店抽取 30% 佣金，對此 Apple 和 Google 就直接下架《Fortnite》，Epic Games 感到十分不滿才向兩家公司提告。
Epic Games 在訴訟中表示：「Epic Games 試圖終止 Apple 在關鍵技術市場上的壟斷地位，為進步和創新打開空間，並確保 Apple 的行動裝置設備能夠與 Apple 的個人電腦一樣開放市場競爭。因此，Epic Games 謹此要求法院禁止 Apple 繼續對 iOS 生態系統施加反競爭限制。」Epic Games 也強調自身並非希望得到禮遇，而是希望 Apple 這種會限制開發商研發產品的規範能夠被打破。
對於這樣的指控，Apple 提出的數據顯示市面上各家應用程式平台抽取佣金皆在 30% 上下，並無惡意抽取過高佣金、壓縮創作者收入，而 Apple 高管 Phil Schiller 在一份聲明中更是指出，Epic Games CEO Tim Sweeney 在一封 E-Mail 中提到希望 Apple 為 Epic Games 創造一項特殊協議，改變 Epic Games 向 iOS 平台供應 App 的方式，意味著想要與其他開發商能有不同標準。
