Slow-fashion menswear label ISTO. has unveiled a new collaboration with food and produce magazine, SLOP, with the pair taking inspiration from the elusive Percebes (goose barnacles).

The new partnership began during a trip to ISTO.’s native Portugal, where the brand’s co-founders, Pedro Palha and Pedro Gaspar, embarked on a culinary voyage of discovery with the co-creators of SLOP, Nicolas Payner-Baader, and Jack Stanley.

The group embarked on an excursion across a slew of the country’s finest restaurants while building a portfolio of inspiration that would eventually, create their brand-new collaborative capsule.

A slew of new T-shirts comprise the collaboration — in both black and white colorways — where the relaxed-fitting styles feature scale graphics on the back, encapsulating a light-hearted representation of Percebes being more valuable than gold.

Meanwhile, the collection also plays with SLOP’s signature green and orange color palette, while new tote bags round off the line with a co-branded fabric badge on the front pocket.

The new SLOP x ISTO. collaboration is out now via the official ISTO. website, while issue 04 of SLOP magazine is available to purchase via SLOP.
