La 78ª edizione dei Primetime Emmy Awards è in pieno svolgimento questa sera al Peacock Theater di Los Angeles, con la star di Law & Order: SVU Mariska Hargitay alla conduzione dell’evento.

L’edizione 2026 premia una nuova rosa dei migliori programmi televisivi: The Pitt e Hacks guidano il medagliere in una competizione affollata che comprendeva Widow’s Bay, Pluribus e The Diplomat. Noah Wyle ha vinto il premio come miglior attore protagonista in una serie drammatica per The Pitt, Rhea Seehorn quello come miglior attrice protagonista in una serie drammatica per Pluribus, mentre Jean Smart ha conquistato un altro Emmy come miglior attrice protagonista in una serie comedy per Hacks. Il risultato più notevole della serata è stato quello di Matthew Rhys, vincitore sia come miglior attore protagonista in una serie comedy per Widow’s Bay sia come miglior attore protagonista in una miniserie, serie antologica o film TV per The Beast in Me. Tra gli altri premi, DTF St Louis ha vinto come miglior miniserie o serie antologica, The Traitors come miglior reality competitivo e South Park come miglior programma animato.
