Per quasi mezzo secolo il nome Brabus è stato sinonimo delle trasformazioni più estreme su vetture Mercedes-Benz e Porsche, ma il tuner di Bottrop sta ufficialmente rompendo con la tradizione. Brabus ha svelato il suo primo progetto su base Lamborghini, una Urus Performance pesantemente modificata che inaugura per il marchio una nuova era di “hyper-SUV”, trasformando la plug-in hybrid Urus SE nella 900 Mint ad altissime prestazioni. Brabus è notoriamente legata al mondo ad alto tasso di adrenalina di Mercedes-AMG, ma il leggendario tuner ha ufficialmente sconfinato nel territorio Lamborghini. Presentata il 3 febbraio 2026, la Brabus 900 Mint è una reinterpretazione radicale della Lamborghini Urus SE, il primo SUV plug-in hybrid del brand. Archiviata ogni forma di sobrietà di fabbrica a favore di una personalizzazione estrema, questa creazione segna l’espansione di Brabus nel mercato italiano dell’ultra-lusso, proponendo un’ibrida votata innanzitutto alle prestazioni, che sfrutta l’elettrificazione per amplificare la potenza più che per privilegiare l’efficienza.

La trasformazione estetica è dominata da una verniciatura monocromatica “Mint” che riveste quasi ogni superficie, dai pannelli di carrozzeria scolpiti alle imponenti ruote forgiate da 24 pollici Brabus Monoblock Z “Platinum Edition”. L’esterno sfoggia un articolato concept widebody in carbonio a vista, con un frontale ridisegnato che aumenta il carico aerodinamico e un diffusore posteriore con pinne verticali integrate. L’inconfondibile estetica Brabus “Widestar” ridisegna la postura del SUV, rendendolo più largo, più basso (grazie a un ribassamento dell’assetto di 20 mm tramite il modulo SportXtra) e decisamente più aggressivo rispetto alla SE di serie.

Sotto il cofano, gli ingegneri Brabus hanno applicato il pacchetto prestazionale PowerXtra LG40-900 al V8 4.0 biturbo. Mentre il motore elettrico da 192 hp resta invariato, il propulsore endotermico è stato ottimizzato per portare la potenza complessiva a 900 cavalli metrici e 1.050 Nm (774 lb-ft) di coppia. Questa forza bruta consente alla 900 Mint di scattare da 0 a 100 km/h (62 mph) in soli 3,2 secondi. Nonostante l’incremento di potenza, la velocità massima è limitata elettronicamente a 312 km/h (194 mph) per tutelare gli pneumatici ad altissime prestazioni dedicati.

Gli interni sono altrettanto radicali, con un abitacolo “Masterpiece” realizzato a mano e rifinito nell’esclusiva pelle Stone Mint. La caratteristica impuntura Brabus “Ellipse” riveste sedili e pannelli porta, esaltata da inserti in fibra di carbonio sulla plancia e pedali in alluminio retroilluminati. Per chi desidera un look più oscuro, Brabus ha presentato anche la variante 900 Superblack, che mantiene le stesse specifiche prestazionali ma sostituisce il pastello vitaminico con un’estetica total black dall’allure decisamente stealth. La Brabus 900 Mint è già ordinabile, con la vettura completa proposta a circa 583.071 € EUR (pari a circa 700.000 $ USD).
