Cover Art Single Terbaru Ye dan The Game "Eazy" Dikritik PETA

Nggak lama setelah rilisnya “Eazy” oleh Ye dan rapper asal Amerika, The Game, foto kontroversial yang digunakan sebagai cover art singlenya langsung dikritik oleh grup aktivis veganism dan animal welfare: PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals).
Awalnya single ini di-tease Kanye di Instagramnya 14 Januari lalu yang dengan caption “MY LIFE WAS NEVER EAZY“. Cover art dari fotografer asal Inggris Nick Knight adalah gambar monyet yang “dikulitin”, presiden dari organisasi aktivis PETA, Ingrid Newkirk, segera mengeluarkan statement ke Billboard. Ingrid bilang gambar ini mirip dengan apa yang dia liat di pasar daging internasional. Menurut Inggrid, dibawah bulu-bulunya itu kita tetap sesama makhluk primata dan dia sangat menolak pelecehan hewan seperti ini.
“The photo is reminiscent of the monkeys PETA has found, sometimes heads, sometimes hands, sometimes the whole body, in meat markets around the world and it makes it clear that when you remove the fur you can’t miss that there’s a person in there, that they are fellow primates, and do not belong to us to abuse for any purpose — not in laboratories, roadside zoos, movies, or meat markets.” jelas Inggrid.
