Unveiled live on stage at the prestigious FuoriConcorso event along Lake Como, Italy, this Masterpiece supercar serves as a direct homage to the brand’s late founder, Bodo Buschmann.

Based on the Aston Martin Vanquish and constructed almost entirely from high-strength carbon fiber using an advanced pre-preg autoclave process, the BODO strikes a sculptural silhouette designed to balance high-speed stability with the brand's signature "1-Second-Wow" design language. The lightweight composite body plays a crucial role in maintaining a remarkably low dry weight of 1,774kg for a vehicle measuring over 16.4' feet in length. Up front, the aggressive fascia is punctuated by unique LED matrix headlights, a custom 13-slat radiator grille, and large RAM-AIR ducts for maximum induction. Enthusiasts responded enthusiastically to the sports car's impending retirement, leading to a last-minute spike in sales—deliveries rose by roughly 4.9% in the first quarter of 2026 compared to the previous year. Still, the overall global volume of the roadster wasn't enough to justify the immense development costs of a next-generation model in today's SUV-dominated landscape.

A critical element of the current Z4's lifecycle was its high-profile co-development with the Toyota GR Supra. Sharing the same platform and powertrains—most notably BMW's robust 3.0-liter turbocharged inline-six (B58)—allowed both brands to economically revive their flagship sports cars. However, with the Supra also ending its Magna Steyr production run this past March, the Z4's fate was fundamentally sealed. While Toyota has indicated plans to develop a sixth-generation Supra completely in-house, BMW has made it clear that no such successor is currently planned for the Z-car lineage.

The discontinuation of the Z4 represents a major shift in the Bavarian automaker's broader portfolio. With the 8 Series Convertible also being phased out, the 4 Series will now stand as the solitary convertible offering in the entire BMW lineup.

Ahead of his debut headline show at the Royal Albert Hall next week, Kojey Radical has extended his creativity beyond the studio for his latest collaboration with Lotus.

Reimagining the Lotus Emeya Hyper GT — the British automotive manufacturer’s luxury sports EV — the East London artist draws from his new album, Don’t Look Down to apply its theme into a wholly different medium.

Having been experimenting with a “Royal Blue” color palette for the project’s rollout, he covers the car’s exterior in the same hue — even recreating the brand’s signature yellow emblem, something Kojey recalls as “the moment it stopped feeling like another collab and started feeling like trust.” Describing the theme of the album being about “pressure, visibility, fear, confidence and being under the spotlight,” as well as the color, the car’s design is also built around the concept of motion, where the emotional range of the album is expressed through how the textures and gradients are revealed depending on how you look at the car.

Before music, Kojey was a keen illustrator and used this multi-hyphenate experience to step in as creative director for this collab. Offering a unique lens to the project, he took a more hands-on approach to the process in contrast to a typical brand-artist partnership, from building mood boards and sketches in the early phases, to testing how light bounces off the car’s exterior to reflect his inspirations of “brutalist architecture, metallic surfaces, deep royal blues, reflections, city lights, and the idea of hidden contours revealing themselves under pressure.”

Hypebeast headed down to the unveiling of the Kojey Radical x Lotus Emeya Hyper-GT at the brand’s showroom in Mayfair, London, to take a first look at the car and spoke to the artist about how the project came to life.

Hypebeast: Can you remember your first encounter with Lotus?

Kojey Radical: I grew up in Hoxton Market, Hackney. Lotus wasn’t something I was exposed to growing up as no one had it in the ends. The first one I saw was the Lotus Esprit in a rerun of James Bond’s Spy Who Loved Me, how it turned into a submarine felt like something lifted straight out of a comic book.

What is it about the brand that resonates with you?

A lot of luxury can feel cold or overdesigned, but Lotus still feels connected to the dreamer. There’s heritage there, but it’s also pushing forward, and that mirrors where I’m at creatively. I’ve never been interested in nostalgia for nostalgia’s sake. I’m interested in evolution without losing identity.

The conversations started pretty organically, with an undertone of shock that they were giving me so much creative freedom. Once we realized we were speaking the same language, it stopped feeling like a “brand collaboration” and started feeling more like building a world together.

How did you bring the vibe of Don’t Look Down to the design?

We never really saw it as just a wrap design, the capability for customization at Lotus is truly endless and the last thing I wanted to do was paste the album onto a car. Some of the themes from the project did translate into this design, especially around the color palette. I’ve been experimenting with “Royal Blue” and it seemed like the perfect fit.

Don’t Look Down is an album about pressure, visibility, fear, confidence and being under the spotlight, I wanted the car to feel like the motion and tension from those themes frozen in place. Something elegant from afar, but layered and textured the closer you get. A lot of the inspiration came from brutalist architecture, metallic surfaces, deep royal blues, reflections, city lights, and the idea of hidden contours revealing themselves under pressure. The textures and gradients almost feel alive depending on how the light hits the car, which felt true to the emotional shifts across the album. Put simply, if we took the car and placed it in a literal blue spotlight, what would naturally happen to the car’s form, and what elements would start to reveal themselves.

Talk us through the process of the project from conception to unveiling.

The process was way more hands-on than people probably expect. From early moodboards to material references, color conversations, lighting tests, interior detail, I wanted to bring my best foot forward and show I was really passionate about this collaboration. I had ideas for the Emeya, Eletre and Esprit spiralling around in my mind, I made a deck to present to Lotus and had a bunch of illustrations I stayed up the night before scanning and reprinting to try different colors. I wanted this to feel unique and kept thinking about making something they would want to put in a museum one day. One of the most exciting parts of the process was seeing how they could take 2D random sketches and color swatches and render them to see exactly how they would interact with the car. Full credit goes to the team at Lotus for bringing that to life and guiding me through the process.

In what ways has working on a car as a medium changed the way you view your creativity?

It forced me to think spatially and physically in a completely different way. Music is emotional and audible. A car is tactile, it moves through the world. People interact with it in real time, from multiple angles, in changing light, at different speeds. It made me realise creativity doesn’t have to stay confined to one discipline. Storytelling can exist in so many other mediums. I’m passionate about this and would love to do more one day. A childhood dream was realized the day I saw the car in real life.

How did it feel to be able to officially change the colour of the Lotus emblem for this collab?

Honestly, that felt massive. The emblem is sacred territory for a brand with that kind of history. That was the moment it stopped feeling like another collab and started feeling like trust.

How has this partnership differed from anything else you’ve done before?

Most collaborations still orbit around promotion in some way. This felt more like authorship. I wasn’t just attaching my name to something, I was involved in shaping an emotional language for the project from the ground up. The level of trust, detail, and creative freedom made it feel closer to working with friends than doing a traditional brand partnership. It also challenged me because the audience isn’t just music fans. Car culture, design culture, fashion culture, they all read details differently. So I had to create something that could speak across all of those spaces without losing authenticity.

Formula 1 races tend to be a bit of a blur while you're there, but once you leave, you realize the experience is something truly remarkable. Especially if you're fortunate to receive the accommodations and access like what was provided for us from Audi this Miami F1 weekend.

For its inaugural year in Formula 1, Audi invited us to witness its fourth race live in Miami, Florida for the May 3rd race. In all honesty, we were quietly complaining about the immense heat and humidity synonymous with Florida, but Audi's accommodations quickly took care of that concern. Besides our room in the 5-star 1 Hotel South Beach, the team supplied us with a private driver – in an 2026 Audi SQ7 of course – who took us anywhere we needed, or wanted, to go throughout the weekend. This alleviated the walking through tropical temperatures. Next was the Paddock Club, a private and quite expensive ticket for F1 attendees where you'd often rub elbows with celebrities and executives. But the key takeaway from our time with Audi this weekend has to be at the brand's solo activation – the Turn 1 Club.

For Formula 1 newcomers, Turn 1 – named literally for the first turn on the track – is where a very large majority of action happens. In a Grand Prix race, it's often the driver who secures 1st place first has the best overall chance of securing the win. Therefore, turn 1 is where all the drivers fight for that position, and subsequently where collisions and contact happen. For our race, it meant pole position driver Kimi Antonelli had a three-way run in with Red Bull's Max Verstappen and Ferrari's Charles Leclerc, leading to the latter clinching 1st from Antonelli. Max even spun an albeit-clean 360º losing eight positions and dropping from P2 to P10. So as you can see, Turn 1 is pretty exciting, which coincides with its $10,000 USD price.

And thus, our air-conditioned, front row seat at turn 1 was a highly memorable experience. The three-story club allowed for mingling, refreshments of chef-prepped food like tacos, caviar and desserts, and – naturally – a live feed to the race allowed for the remainder of the circuit to be enjoyed. Audi private clients and company directors showed up with key race team members to welcome us to the space. And when the mood struck us to wander, Turn 1 Club was inclusive of a replica Audi Revolut F1 R26 car, simulator rigs to hone your track skills and more. But the extras were just that, extras. We couldn't get over the phenomenal view of the race.

Alongside both the paddock and the turn 1 clubs, Audi gave us access to the pit lane walk which is made available to all paddock club holders. What wasn't included however was our private tour of the garage, while Nico and Gabriel's cars were getting maintained during the grueling Miami heat. It also allowed us to see up close and personal just how many people are involved with F1 and the drivers, the cars, even the extra maintenance parts required multiple hands. Bonus experiences included in the weekend were the private track day with Audi's RS 3s at the Concours Club, and something probably just as spectacular as F1 – an Inter Miami CF match, pitch-side, to watch fütbol superstar Lionel Messi play.

After spending the past few years carving out a space in the European market, premium electric mobility brand Zeekr recently landed at Milan Design Week as the exclusive automotive partner of Alcova while returning to Tortona Rocks with the second edition of its The Art of Connection exhibition.

Helping to transport approximately 7000 guests between Villa Pestarini and the former Military Hospital of Baggio, the partnership with Alcova saw the brand deploy a fleet of its luxury cars including the Zeekr X cross over, Zeekr 001 shooting brake and Zeekr 7X SUV.

Beyond mobility, this service placed Zeekr within the design platform’s broader ecosystem. Through connecting audiences with installations and showcases, it brought them closer to new developments in design, particularly a collaboration between Patricia Urquiola and Haworth & Cassina.

In Tortona, the focus shifted to the The Art of Connection exhibition spotlighting the Zeekr 7GT, an all-electric vehicle that takes the form of a low, elongated shooting brake, balancing grand touring performance with everyday usability. Marking the car’s official debut in Italy, the showcase traced the design of the vehicle under the direction of Stefan Sielaff – from early sketches and clay models through to prototypes and final form developed at Zeekr’s Global Design Center in Gothenburg. Against the backdrop of Milan Design week, it positioned the Zeekr 7GT as the result of an ongoing dialogue between design, technology and user experience.

Elsewhere, the exhibition introduced creative collaborations from artist duo EJTECH as well as a café space that extended the experience into a more informal setting, turning into a meeting point for like-minded creatives.

The livery traces its roots directly back to the 1980 racing season, when the US-based customer team Dick Barbour Racing entered an Apple-liveried Porsche 935 K3 into major endurance events, including the legendary 24 Hours of Le Mans. Decades later, that shared passion for innovation was successfully revived on the cutting-edge Porsche 963.

Choosing the Laguna Seca Raceway for this historic tribute was a deeply intentional move by both brands.
