That nautical color story extends to the canopy and seats, which are wrapped in "Scia," a new indoor-outdoor fabric designed by Garage Italia and produced by Mariaflora. Maaya Orido - Porsche 911 GT3 “Guards Red”

When Maaya Orido got her Porsche 911 GT3, the first thing she wanted to do was feel the thrill of its power from the driver’s seat. “My GT3 is like a special pair of high heels,” she reflects on the experience. “When I drive it, I naturally sit a little taller and feel a little more confident. It’s not just about driving. The car makes the whole day feel a little more special.”

With both her job and hobby being solitary experiences, often sitting in race and sportscars alone, Orido has come to value Sportscar Together Day for the community element. “There are things you simply can’t experience through social media,” she mentions. “Seeing the cars in person, hearing them and talking directly with their owners creates a completely different connection.” The driver carries these moments with her long after the events end, saying, “Being there and seeing how different people express themselves through cars gives me a constant source of inspiration.”

Nick Sisombath - Porsche 911 C4S 997 “Speed Yellow”

Whether he’s restoring cars in his free time or taking inspiration from models for his sneaker designs, Nick Sisombath lives and breathes car culture. His obsession with the look and feel of a vehicle is what led the designer to buy the striking Porsche 997. “To me, the 997 is the ‘last of the Mohicans’,” he shares on the automotive. “It was one of the last 911s that still felt truly analog. There’s something about these cars that makes you want to treat them like heirlooms.”

Sportscar Together Day has given the designer a chance to showcase the car IRL. “It’s an extension of the emotion I have with my car, but now I get to share the stories and aspirations with others, creating memories outside of the driver’s seat,” he says. But it's not just the annual event that he’s bringing the car to. Driven by a desire to pass on his love for Porsche – like his father did for him – Sisombath hosts his own meet-ups to foster that same spark in others. He explains, “It’s filled with creatives, artists, and like-minded people. I’ve built genuine friendships through it, and I’m constantly learning from the people I meet.”

KwolleM - Porsche Taycan 4S “Volcano Grey Metallic”

Just as Sisombath’s father inspired him, KwolleM is constantly instilling his love for Porsche into his children. Having owned several different Porsche models, including the Cayenne and 911, the producer now regularly drives the Porsche Taycan 4S around his hometown on the outskirts of London with his daughters in tow. “I wanted a car that felt sleek and refined, but had the capacity for a couple of children's car seats,” he says. “This is the first Porsche I've owned for my family, but it reminds me that no matter the model or stage of life, the passion always stays the same.

If he isn’t doing the school run, KwolleM nurtures his love for Porsche by meeting others in the sportscar community. “I met a photographer in my local neighborhood and spoke to him about the process of capturing cars – from the craft to all the attention to detail involved,” he recalls. “I always thought that cars are something you love because of how it looks or drive, but he made me realise that sometimes your appreciation for cars can come from something totally unrelated.” Soon, at Sportscar Together Day, KwolleM explains how he’s looking forward to finding more of these owners who “openly express their passion for cars.”

Factory driver Jörg Bergmeister is slated to pilot the car for the inaugural run, tackling a relentless course that packs 76 corners into a 4.5-mile sprint.

Under the skin, the Bergsport is built on the bones of the 911 GT3 Touring equipped with the optional lightweight package, though it aggressively rewrites the standard spec sheet to prioritize mountain carving over pure track duty. For purists, every single model rolling out of the factory will be offered exclusively with a six-speed manual transmission. The typical magnesium wheels found on the standard lightweight package have been swapped out for heavier-duty forged aluminum rims, a calculated engineering shift meant to better withstand the punishing and unpredictable road conditions of the Alps. For Maluma, cars have always been about more than what is sitting in his garage. Long before the Colombian artist had access to some of the world’s most coveted supercars, his fascination started with Hot Wheels.

That childhood connection has now come full circle as Maluma joins Hot Wheels as part of its “Challenge Accepted” campaign. But rather than looking toward the exotic cars that have become part of his life today, the Medellín native chose to revisit the vehicles and memories that shaped him growing up.

At the center of the collaboration is La Matrona, a custom Toyota Land Cruiser FJ60 inspired by the rugged trucks Maluma remembers from childhood trips to the Colombian countryside. Reimagined as a 1:64-scale Hot Wheels model, the FJ60 becomes a miniature tribute to those early experiences and the beginning of an obsession with cars that has followed him throughout his career.

The details keep his design firmly connected to home, as references to Colombia, Medellín, and Antioquia appear throughout the vehicle. While Maluma could have selected something faster, rarer, or more closely associated with luxury, the FJ60 tells a story built around nostalgia, family, and the memories that existed long before global tours and luxury garages.

Hypebeast caught up with Maluma to discuss his lifelong fascination with cars, the childhood memories behind La Matrona, and why the Toyota Land Cruiser FJ60 felt like the right vehicle for his Hot Wheels debut.

What is your first memory with Hot Wheels?

"My love for cars began with Hot Wheels when I was just a young boy. I remember a very special moment when my uncle, who was studying in the United States, brought me a track set that came with several Hot Wheels cars as a gift. Given that Hot Wheels is such a legendary brand, we — as Latinos — viewed it as something completely out of reach. My uncle used to buy the products in the States and bring them to me in Colombia because we didn't have access to them. It was always a benchmark brand for me."

Why did you choose the Toyota Land Cruiser FJ60 as your Hot Wheels car for the "Challenge Accepted" campaign?

"Everyone thought we were going to reinterpret one of the exotic cars from my collection. Instead, I was driven by a desire to show our culture to the whole world. That’s why we created this car called La Matrona — a pickup truck we used to ride to get to the countryside when we were kids."

How did La Matrona take you back to those early and cherished childhood memories?

"La Matrona reconnects me deeply with the essence of my early childhood, when I had a strong connection to nature. We wanted to share those feelings with the world: Recovering that sensation of being in the countryside and regaining access to those childhood experiences."

What went through your mind when designing La Matrona?

"Working with the Hot Wheels team is incredible. We took charge of adding that Colombian touch: we wanted to put the Maluma sign on the back and incorporate the Colombian flag. We wanted it to feel like a truck truly native to our region — to Medellín, to Antioquia."

What has been the most important challenge you have accepted throughout your musical career?

"With my album Loco X Volver, there are many genres and producers I hadn't had the chance to work with before. That was a "Challenge Accepted" moment for me: having the confidence to do things differently and show the world our essence and who we really are.

I would say the greatest challenge of my career has been staying true to myself. Working in alignment with what I feel, rather than what people want to see from me. Always staying connected to my essence and to who I am."

What are you currently focused on after launching Loco X Volver?

"Right now, we’re preparing a world tour, and it’s going to be the biggest one I’ve ever done. I think that’s the focus: preparing an incredible performance so that people can connect in the same way I’m connecting with the message we want to convey."
