Gaming phone and accessories manufacturer REDMAGIC has introduced its most advanced earbuds to date in the Cyberbuds DAO TWS, a gamer-focused set that sounds as good as its look. Whilst the buds pair perfectly with the brand’s own line of phones, they also work seamlessly with any Bluetooth compatible device (including iOS) and can be connected to PCs via an included charging base station. As mobile gaming continues to increase in both quality and popularity, gamers looking for accessories that give them an edge might want to read on.

The Cyberbuds are built with a transparent black shell that gives them a unique aesthetic, allowing users see the inner workings of the earbuds. They feature an elongated stem (similar in design to Bang & Olufsen’s Beoplay EX) that’s both comfortable in ear and makes for easy handling, as well as exposing the RGB lights that illuminate each bud. Inside, alongside the lights, sits a tiny circuit board and a S3 Gen 2 chipset from Qualcomm; the inclusion of this Qualcomm chip means the Cyberbuds can stream high quality audio using the brand’s proprietary aptX Lossless codec. Each earbud features an 11mm linear graphene driver unit that provides a full, rounded sound that really shines whilst gaming, though is suitable for both music listening snd making calls, too. Another feature aimed at gamers is the 28 milliseconds super low latency that the Cyberbuds boast, with sound traveling between your source and ears seemingly instantaneously; this gives players an advantage when fractions of a second really matters, like being able to hear an enemy’s footsteps in Call of Duty: Mobile as soon as they enter into your sound space.

One of the stand out features of the Cyberbuds is the charging case that comes with them. The squircle-shaped case continues the transparent theme and features a mainly aluminum construction with a plastic lid that slides open to allow access to the buds inside. The buds offer around 7.5 hours of use per charge, depending on which features are switched on, such as the buds’ active noise cancellation; whilse the ANC here doesn’t quite reach the levels of Bose or Sony, it is customizable on the Cyberbuds via REDMAGIC’s Goper app (iOS/Android) and users can adjust how much noise reduction they prefer. The app also allows users to select their codec preferences, edit game modes, change lighting effects, and features an EQ to adjust audio levels.

The REDMAGIC Cyberbuds DAO TWS can be purchased now directly via the brand’s website.
