  • A ERL acaba de lançar sua mais nova coleção feita na Califórnia, “The Wild Bunch”, que marca a primeira colaboração artística da marca com Peter Berlin.

A ERL apresentou “The Wild Bunch”, sua coleção mais recente, criada no ateliê de Eli Russell Linnetz em Venice Beach. Silhuetas desconstruídas, acabamentos puídos e peças repletas de couro dão vida à narrativa cinematográfica de uma gangue desordeira, no inconfundível estilo hollywoodiano da marca.

A fictícia “Dudley Dozens” é uma notória gangue de Venice Beach composta por “capangas mercenários que viraram anarquistas”, descrita pela ERL como “bonitos, carismáticos e completamente fora de controle”. Jaquetas de couro artesanais foram rasgadas e reconstituídas, uma camisa polo azul-bebê surge toda esgarçada e manchada de terra; T-shirts de motoqueiro, regatas e tops de tela aparecem encurtados e super desgastados. Há referências diretas à subcultura queer, que remetem aos retratos eróticos de homens musculosos em couro de Tom of Finland.

Na estreia de sua primeira collab artística, a coleção também traz peças inspiradas na obra do icônico fotógrafo erótico queer Peter Berlin, que, aliás, já foi retratado por Tom of Finland. Uma regata cavada em tom carvão ganha aplicação de fotografias vintage do lendário artista, com destaque para um grande retrato de corpo inteiro de Berlin posando apenas de roupa íntima, assim como muitos dos modelos da campanha.

Por trás da teatralidade divertida, a ERL reafirma seu compromisso com a produção artesanal e local. A coleção estreia o denim californiano de origem local da marca, tingido e desbotado ao sol para um visual vivido. Já os cardigãs varsity tricotados à mão passaram pelos artesãos da região, confeccionados com lã fiada nos Estados Unidos.
