Warner Bros ha fissato l’uscita nelle sale di The Batman: Part II per il 18 febbraio 2028.

Il co-CEO di DC Studios James Gunn ha ufficialmente messo a tacere le speculazioni sui tempi di produzione dei prossimi sequel ambientati a Gotham firmati da Matt Reeves. Durante una sessione di domande e risposte su Threads, Gunn ha chiarito che The Batman: Part II non sarà girato in contemporanea con The Batman: Part III.

Rispondendo direttamente a una fan che gli chiedeva se i due sequel sarebbero stati girati contemporaneamente, Gunn ha dato una risposta secca: no. L’aggiornamento arriva mentre il regista Matt Reeves prosegue il lavoro di pre-produzione ai Warner Bros. Studios Leavesden, nel Regno Unito. Di recente, Reeves ha condiviso sui social alcune anticipazioni: scatti di prova con Robert Pattinson in costume accanto alla Batmobile, sullo sfondo di un paesaggio invernale innevato.

Gunn aveva già rivelato che la sceneggiatura di The Batman: Part II era stata completata lo scorso luglio, dopo una serie di rinvii. Le riprese principali del film dovrebbero iniziare in primavera, secondo quanto riportato agli azionisti da Warner Bros. Discovery.
