Il maestro dell’horror Sam Raimi torna dietro la macchina da presa con Send Help, un thriller psicologico di sopravvivenza che trasforma una faida aziendale in un incubo di vita o di morte. Il trailer ufficiale, appena uscito, imprime un tono da commedia nera disturbante e una tensione altissima. L’uscita in sala è fissata per il 30 gennaio 2026.

La premessa ruota attorno a una classica rivalità in ufficio che precipita su un’isola deserta. Rachel McAdams è Linda Liddle, una dipendente estremamente capace ma perennemente sottovalutata. Dopo lo schianto del loro aereo, si ritrova intrappolata con il suo detestato capo, Bradley Preston, interpretato da Dylan O’Brien. Unici sopravvissuti, i due sono costretti a un’alleanza riluttante che presto si trasforma in una “battaglia di nervi e d’astuzia” per la sopravvivenza.

Raimi è stato subito conquistato dalla cupa satira della sceneggiatura. “Il pitch era audace e originale, e al tempo stesso seguiva i due nel loro conflitto mentre la loro dinamica di potere cambiava radicalmente”, ha raccontato Raimi a Entertainment Weekly. Il trailer mostra Linda che ribalta le carte in tavola ai danni del suo capo ferito, forte di inaspettate abilità di sopravvivenza. Questo ribaltamento di prospettiva mette in luce un potente racconto di empowerment femminile e la soddisfazione di vedere una persona sottovalutata prendere il controllo della situazione. Con una colonna sonora originale firmata da Danny Elfman, Send Help promette il mix inconfondibile di caos e suspense spiazzante che è il marchio di fabbrica di Raimi.
