Tanggal Rilis Sony PlayStation 6 Bocor di Internet

Sony PlayStation yang sedang lagi dapat sorotan karena sulitnya para konsumen ngebeli PS5 baru aja ngedapetin fakta bahwa muncul bocoran dokumen terkait tanggal dirilisnya PS6.

Dalam dokumen yang jadi bagian dari investigasi merger Microsoft-Activision oleh United Kingdom’s Competition Markets Authority, PS6 rencananya akan dirilis pada akhir tahun 2027 atau bisa juga pada 2028.

“Microsoft has offered to continue making Activision’s games available on PlayStation only until 2027… By the time SIE launched the next generation of its PlayStation console (which is likely to occur around [redacted]), it would have lost access to Call of Duty and other Activision titles, making it extremely vulnerable to consumer switching and subsequent degradation in its competitiveness,” reads PlayStation’s argument. “Even assuming that SIE had the ability and resources to develop a similarly successful franchise to Call of Duty, it would take many, many years and billions of dollars to create a challenger to Call of Duty – and the example of EA’s Battlefield shows that any such efforts would more than likely be unsuccessful.”

Dari dokumen di atas, maka udah jelas kalau PS5 hanya akan bertahan sebagai console terbaik dari Sony dalam total jangka waktu 7 tahun aja.

Bagi yang belum tahu, Sony emang lagi meminta pihak berwenang untuk menginvestigasi akusisi Activision-Blizzard oleh Microsoft Xbox, yang artinya game seperti Overwatch, Diablo, dan World of Warcraft jadi eksklusif Xbox. Sony emang ingin mengamankan Call of Duty agar tetap bisa dimainkan di console Sony karena memiliki fanbase yang sangat besar sehingga bisa merugikan Sony.
