WACKO MARIA Celebrates Paradise Tokyo Store's Ninth Anniversary with Varsity Jacket
Japanese hip-hop group NAMEDARUMA fronts the campaign.
WACKO MARIA is celebrating a milestone year. Just one year short of a decade, the Japanese imprint’s Paradise Tokyo outpost is marking nine years since opening, and to properly commemorate the occasion the only way it knows how to, the outfitter has whipped up a special-edition varsity jacket – and even gotten Japanese hip-hop collective NAMEDARUMA on board to lead the lookbook.
Drenched in all-black, the varsity jacket is limited to just 100 units and features white patches embroidered throughout the silhouette. The front sees “WACKO MARIA” on one side of the chest with “APHRODITE GANG” on the other, while the back is stamped with a special-edition WACKO MARIA APHRODITE GANG insignia curated just for this drop. Snap-button closure runs down the middle while sleeves come crafted from leather and elevated with numerical varsity-style patches.
Take a closer look at the jacket above and expect the jacket to be available for purchase from Saturday, September 7 at WACKO MARIA’s PARADISE TOKYO online store, as well as at the WACKO MARIA online store. On the day of the sale, the PARADISE TOKYO store will open for business one hour earlier than usual.
