Larry June Raps Over West Coast Beats on New LP ‘Doing It for Me’
Following last year’s collaborations with The Alchemist and Cardo.
Larry June has released a new album, Doing It For Me. The project landed as June’s 11th overall solo album, following 2022’s Spaceships on the Blade.
The Bay Area rapper is perhaps better known for his collaborations with some of the biggest names in hip-hop. Last year, he linked up with The Alchemist for a joint LP called The Great Escape. Months later, he joined forces with Cardo for another project entitled The Night Shift.
Doing It For Me features a handful of previously released tracks, including “Like A Mack” and “Imported Couches.” There was also the wistful and romantic “Meet Me In Napa.”
On the LP, June continuously builds on his distinct smooth sound, interspersing rap with suave, laidback beats perfect for summertime.
