Citizen Launches Two New Satellite Wave X Models
Featuring intense black and deep blue color dials.
Ten years after the debut of the Satellite Wave F100, Citizen now introduces two new iterations to the series. The model was initially developed with the groundbreaking function of receiving time signals from orbiting satellites in space. Naturally, the freshly unveiled Satellite Wave X references carry on this legacy both in specifications and in aesthetics.
Outfitted in Super Titanium™ with Duratect Titanium Carbide DLC coating – both Citizen’s proprietary technologies – the watches boast a toughness that is five times more resistant than stainless steel. This comes in the form of a round watch case with distinct triangular corners on the right-hand side, measuring 45.5mm in width and 12.7 mm in thickness.
The dials are rendered in an intense black or deep blue, adorned in glittering accents to emulate the mysticism and vastness of outer space. Beating at the heart of the watches is the F150 movement, geared with an Eco-Drive running capacity of up to 7 years on full charge and in power save mode. In line with the first Satellite Wave timepiece, the shape of the metal bracelet’s links derives cues from satellite solar panels.
The duo of Satellite Wave X wristwatches will be available to purchase through Citizen in September, each priced at £1,395 GBP (approximately $1,843 USD).
