As we approach the 30th anniversary of the Nike Air More Uptempo, which debuted back in 1996, the style continues to play a significant role in Nike’s seasonal offerings. With its “Olympic” colorway having just returned to shelves last week, we’re now awaiting the in-line launch of a low-top version of the sneaker — the Air More Uptempo Low — that has just appeared. This isn’t the first time that the basketball sneaker has been lowered, AMBUSH presented its own Air More Uptempo Low in three different colorways last year.
Unlike the AMBUSH collaboration, the upper’s graffiti-inspired “AIR” lettering stretches across the entirety of the shoe, connecting with the sole unit and reaching around the heel. Spotted first in a “Black/Photon Dust” composition, the low-top pair begins with black at the upper’s base and serves up ample contrast across the white lettering and Nike branding.
At the time of writing, Nike has not announced the debut of the Air More Uptempo Low. Stay tuned for updates, including official imagery of the kicks, as we expect the shoe to arrive this holiday season in this “Black/Photon Dust” colorway via Nike SNKRS and select retailers at a starting price of $160 USD.
