UNDERCOVER Threw a Soft Rock 'n' Roll Concert for SS25
Jun Takahashi presented a 54-look collection grounded in bohemian styling accompanied by an unexpected Champion collaboration.
Jun Takahashi‘s UNDERCOVER is never afraid to be bold, playing with striking silhouettes and a haunting aura. For Spring/Summer 2025, UNDERCOVER staged a soft rock ‘n’ roll concert inside Paris’ Grand Plateau venue, leaving walls bare while igniting the showcase with an unexpected visual performance. As lights dimmed, the main wall was torched with a masked gig that captured guitar players and drummers playing tranquil tones accessorized with beaded necklaces and rhinestone-encrusted facemasks.
As the digital concert wrapped, models took the runway in laidback looks grounded in bohemian styling. Classic menswear suiting was crafted in lightweight linens with signature Takahashi touches, featuring haunted mansions printed in black and white graphics. Clouds of smoke moved through additional two-piece sets while lace veils, gold-trimmed crowns, and wide-brimmed hats inserted romantic mystique.
Pastel knee-ripped bottoms were covered by apron-style bandages layered and with tasseled overshirts and shredded knitwear. Midway through the collection, Takahashi presented an unexpected Champion collaboration in three separate looks. Champion upgrades its essential hoodies with doubled zippers and oversized logos, while sweatpants arrived slouchy and cropped. Lace patchwork constructed casual crewnecks and three-part car coats, followed by blurred silhouettes with concealed figures. Paint-splattered splotches, underwater scenes, and UNDERCOVER’s faceless emblem completed the collaboration on a high note — seeing Takahashi’s 54-look line earn its leaf-ornamented crown on day two of Paris Fashion Week.
