Original Story: COMME des GARÇONS HOMME PLUS has reunited with Nike for an updated take on the Foamposite One. Following on from the “Black” and “White” iterations that the duo released in 2021, this latest silhouette looks to celebrate the upcoming 2024 Olympics in Paris with an all-new colorway and construction inspired by the Summer Games.
The new CDG HOMME PLUS x Nike Air Foamposite One boasts the same textural, circular design as the inaugural designs, with a silver marble finish across the shell. The statement-making facade sits atop a black rubber sole, while an all-black eyestay houses leather eyelets for the laces. The heel, also done up in black leather, features classic CDG HOMME PLUS branding.
The design rings in the Summer Games with IYKYK nods to the leading sporting tournament’s signatures. The heel tab, for instance, dons gold, silver and bronze stripes, nodding to the various trophies that will be handed out to the Olympics’ top athletes.
The COMME des GARÇONS HOMME PLUS x Nike Air Foamposite One “Olympic” is expected to be released in June via Nike’s webstore and select retailers. The shoe will be priced at $300 USD. Take a first look at the design in the gallery above, and stay tuned for more information on its release.
