SURL Drops Lighthearted, Summertime Single “ringringring”
Following April’s edgy “Hypnosis.”
South Korean indie band SURL is gearing up for a big year in music. In April, the band returned with its first single in two years, the edgy “Hypnosis.”
SURL has now dropped a track called “ringringring,” taking on a more laid-back sound, fit for summertime with guitar riffs and drums backing falsetto vocals.
The song was accompanied by a music video shot in the style of a home movie. The visual compiles shots of SURL performing over the course of their recent tour, from prepping backstage to hitting major cities across the US.
SURL is composed of Seoul Hoseung, Kim Doyeon, Lee Hanbin and Oh Myeongsuk. Hoseung is the lead singer and plays the guitar alongside Doyeon, while Hanbin is on bass and Myeongsuk on drums. The band released its debut album, of us, in 2022.
