Update: Nike is gearing up for the launch of the Air Jordan 4 RM — the Air Jordan 4’s first proper takedown model — as it has just revealed the official imagery of its three debut in-line colorways. The last pair to surface is the “Black/Light Bone” look that we caught a first look at back in February. With the two-tone build highlighted once again, we await an update from the Swoosh regarding the silhouette’s launch procedure. Stay tuned for updates as it’s likely to drop via Nike SNKRS and select retailers this summer at a price of $150 USD and review our previous updates below for more info.

Update: The Air Jordan 4 is celebrating its 35th anniversary with an exciting lineup of releases that includes its first proper takedown model — the Air Jordan 4 RM. With various previews of the sneaker emerging in the past few months, we now have our best look at the sneaker yet in its “Black/Light Bone” colorway. The two-tone arrangement sees a mixed material build of suede, leather and mesh accompanied by a Jumpman-covered tongue tag and tonal Nike Air branding (not to mention a small Jumpman logo to its side) at the heel. While we await an official reveal from the Swoosh, it remains anticipated as a summertime release via Nike SNKRS and select retailers at a price of $150 USD.

Update: After decades of sticking to the original Air Jordan 4 design, Nigel Sylvester and Jordan Brand are ready to shake things up with the introduction of the Air Jordan 4 RM. A leaked image hit the net last month and Sylvester has just teased the new sneaker himself via the embedded Instagram video below. According to the latest report from Sneaker Files, the RM stands for “Remix” and Sylvester’s two colorways are expected to release on July 3 via Nike SNKRS and select retailers at a starting price of $150 USD. Stay tuned for updates as we eagerly await confirmation from Jordan Brand and be sure to review our initial breakdown below for more info.

Original Story: The Air Jordan 1 and the Air Jordan 4 are both legendary retro silhouettes that were once worn on NBA courts by Michael Jordan. However, there’s an important distinction in how the two adored designs are positioned today. The Air Jordan 1 has blossomed into a franchise — with countless iterations ranging from the platform-soled Air Jordan 1 Brooklyn to the sport-ready Air Jordan 1 Golf Mule. Meanwhile, the Air Jordan 4 exists in its original form, which has been reimagined with countless color arrangements and material compositions.

However, this is finally set to change as the previously-rumored Air Jordan 4 RM (Restomod) is set to arrive later this year. Initially rumored to be a one-off collaboration with Nigel Sylvester, a first look at an in-line pair courtesy of EldenMonitors has surfaced, with the page noting that it is one of eight pairs on the way. In addition to this, two collaborative colorways are expected to occupy spots in the lineup of eight. In our brief preview of the sneaker, it maintains the Air Jordan 4’s traditional sole unit while swapping out the upper for a low-top build that features a wrap-around cage and mesh overlay at the eyestays.

At the time of writing, we’ve yet to receive any confirmation from Jordan Brand that the Air Jordan 4 RM will be arriving this year. However, it’s currently expected to debut this holiday season via Nike SNKRS and select retailers at an unknown price point. Stay tuned for updates as additional colorways, including the rumored Nigel Sylvester collaboration, surface in the months to come.
