Bang & Olufsen Brings Back Old-School Beosound 9000 CD Player
Limited to 200 speakers priced at $55,000 USD.
Leading audio brand Bang & Olufsen has become synonymous with iconic sound systems that double as home decor. The brand launched its Recreated Classics series in 2020, upgrading the Beogram 4000c turntable with novel sound engineering. For its second project, Bang & Olufsen revives a well-loved icon by bringing back the old-school Beosound 9000 CD Player.
The 9000c music system restores Bang & Olufsen’s 1990s classic with modern capabilities, equipped with Beolab 28 speakers and state-of-the-art blasting power. The Danish electronics label has recovered 200 original Beosound 9000 systems, returned them to its Denmark headquarters, and evaluated them by expert audio technicians. The speakers are repaired, cleaned, and given a new lease of life while being thoroughly tested for a supreme listening experience.
Bang & Olufsen’s reimagined icon is reconstructed with original black and aluminum finishes, featuring six exposed CD windows and an upstanding design. The speaker can jump from disc to disc in a flash, controllable via Beoremote One and smartphone technology.
