Blancpain Readies the Fifty Fathoms Automatique in 42mm
Availbale in two dial colors in red gold or titanium builds.
Last year, Blancpain celebrated the 70th anniversary of its iconic Fifty Fathoms model with three special-edition timepieces. Now, the watch Maison readies another release featuring the Fifty Fathoms Automatique in a 42mm case size.
Arriving in red gold and titanium, the new watch is also offered in black or blue dials for each of its case options. Its accompanying strap is also available in a titanium bracelet, tropic textured rubber strap woven options made or canvas or NATO.
Adorning the sunburst dial are luminescent arrow indices and Roman numeral markings at 3, 6, 9, and 12 o’clock. These are complemented lume-filled sword-shaped hands and a small date window between 4 and 5 o’clock. Encircling the dial is a unidirectional sapphire dive bezel that also matches the color of its designated watch face.
Outfitted with an open caseback that offers an unobstructed display of 1315 caliber, the watch is capable of withstanding up to 300 meters underwater. It’s also geared with magnetic resistance thanks to the implemented silicon hairspring, complete with an impressive 5-day power reserve.
Priced between $16,600 – $34,400 USD, the new Fifty Fathoms Automatique is currently available via Blancpain by appointment.
