British footwear imprint Duke + Dexter uses its collaborative projects as a time to experiment more than usual. The London-based brand uses its link-ups wisely, connecting with only the best of emerging talent. Recent projects have seen D+D team with up the likes of Soho Yacht Club, Percival, and Soldier, and now, the brand is presenting its third installment with Playboy.

As one of the most widely recognized lifestyle magazines in the world, Playboy is approaching its 70th anniversary. Before it converted to online-only in 2020, each issue featured a combination of advice columns, sporting highlights, exclusive interviews, and of course, the Playboy Pin Up

Now, to celebrate a trio of collaborations — while continuing to align with seven decades of Playboy – Duke + Dexter has brought back its “Sketch” capsule for a fourth installment. The collection features a new line of D+D’s classic Wilde Penny Loafers, printed with three of Playboy’s most memorable cover shoots across the vamp.

Featuring five new styles, the Playboy x D+D collaboration welcomes the Wilde Sketch IV — a continuation of the duo’s second collaborative capsule. Additionally, the duo includes the Wilde 1975 Cover, taking it back to March of 1975, where D+D revitalizes three classic covershoots.

Meanwhile, the Wilde 1988 Cover takes things back to a cover shoot featuring Laurie Carr’s eyes and mouth. Rounding off the collection, the two final pairs reminisce on the years of 2015 and 2012, referencing classic cover girls such as Gia Marie, Stephanie Branton, Ciara Price, Chelsie Aryn, Roxanna June, Val Keil, and Audrey Allen.

You can take a closer look at the new Playboy x Duke + Dexter collaboration above and it will be available to shop via the official D+D website from September 1 at 12 p.m. BST.
