Palace and Vans are back with another collaboration: the brand-new, straightforwardly-named Palace Vans Low. The new silhouette literally blends two sneakers into one by combining elements from the iconic Half Cab and the cult-favorite Skate MC, Mike Carroll‘s signature model, and is accompanied by two t-shirts plus a special short film.

Available in black or white, the Palace Vans Low features the perforated detailing of Carroll’s Skate MC with branding and collar detailing taken from the Half Cab and a mixture of both shoes’ aesthetics on its overall shape and construction. A co-branded, Half Cab-style badge appears on the lateral half of the collar, while separate Palace and Vans branding appears on the tongue of the shoe and the familar red Vans logo on the heel is accompanied by a Palace logo as well. From a tech standpoint, the Palace Vans Low features all of Vans Skateboarding’s best tech, like impact-absorbing Popcush insoles, long-lasting Duracap underlays and grippy Sickstick outsoles.

T-shirts are also available in black and white, and read “Palace Low” across the middle with a “Palace Vans 2023” logo underneath. Additionally, a Internal Only film (that is evidently not solely for “employees”) has been released to commemorate the new collab. The film stars Palace and Vans pro skateboarders Rory Milanes and Danny Brady, who satirically walk “Vans employees” through the attributes of the Palace Vans Low. “If you’re watching this video, it’s because you work for Vans,” Milanes opens, as he and Brady stroll through an office, preparing to explain the “brand new Van.” “It’s even got a bloody sock in it,” Brady exclaims. “You’re gonna save a fortune on socks this year,” Milanes chimes in.

Expect the Palace x Vans Palace Vans Low and its accompanying T-shirts to release both in-store and online starting June 23, 11 a.m. EDT on the brand’s official webstore, and in Japan on June 24, 11 a.m. JST on the Palace Japan webstore. Last but not least, they’ll also touch down on the official “Palace_Skateboards” WeChat store June 24, 11 a.m. CST.
