Vivienne Westwood's 2023 Sun Collection Pays Tribute to Vintage Hollywood Glamor

As the days get longer and summer approaches, Andreas Kronthaler‘s Vivienne Westwood prepares to drop a glamorous glasses collection ideal for sun-filled outings. The offering takes inspiration from international artists and musicians who made eyewear their trademark.

Paying tribute to 1950s and ’60s Hollywood icons, the collection is an expression of vintage charm. Merging sleek feminine styles with enlarged masculine frames, the former is powered by Italian circus performer Moira Orfei, actress Gina Lollobrigida and Sophia Loren. Their outstanding personalities are reflected through heart-shaped gradient visors with an oversized finish, while oval spotted versions encapsulate the face perfectly.

In contrast, Italian musician Adriano Celentano, British actor Michael Caine, and Johnny Hallyday’s magnetic aura inspire the men’s division, featuring vintage square frames with gilded detailing.

Vivienne Westwood’s Orb emblem adorns every pair, taking pride in bio-based craftsmanship made with recycled content. The glasses are delivered inside eco-friendly leather cases and sustainable accessories as a tribute to a greener tomorrow.
