Showing its latest collection away from the standard Fashion Week schedule, London-based imprint Stefan Cooke has just revealed its all-new Fall/Winter 2023 menswear offering. Together, co-founders Stefan Cooke and Jake Burt graduated from Central Saint Martins and grew the eponymous brand under Lulu Kennedy‘s Fashion East incubator while standing as LVMH Prize finalists in 2019.

Last season, Stefan Cooke arrived at London Fashion Week to debut its Spring/Summer 2023 collection, which masterfully bent fashion rules to rewrite them with a fresh outlook. The label’s FW23 range plays with “the Americanisation of European aesthetic.” Titled “EDWARDS,” the offering introduces an array of cultural garments absorbed by American fashion history. Here, lifestyles seamlessly collide, from artisan designs to municipal formalwear and laidback Californian style.

Clean-cut essential tank tops are matched with form-fitting trousers embroidered with symbolic laurel wreath leaves representing victory and success in ancient Greek sports. Slouchy T-shirts don enlarged trophy graphics that ooze with triumph, while dated rugby tops are transformed into football shoulder pads destined for the field. High school marching band uniforms receive houndstooth trimmings, working alongside monogram baseball caps and silk scarves for outdoor protection.

Finally, Texan denim ensembles sport interlocked rope graphics as an homage to American cowboy history, followed by crotchet tops and bags with dangling shoelace detailing that mirrors the work of local craftsmen from all walks of life.
