Sandy Hues Cover notwoways' Revitalized ARW "Subsolar"
Taking inspiration from the lands “situated directly beneath the sun.”
Callum McGinley and Rockwell Princely’s London-based sneaker label notwoways has just presented its latest ARW Subsolar iteration, following on from the “just white,” “floe,” and “syzygy” versions that dropped last year.
notwoways has become a major player in the UK sneaker scene since its inception, unveiling silhouettes in various colorways for all weather conditions and occasions. Now, the brand’s all-new ARW Subsolar Model 2 stands as a revitalized version of its predecessor, crafted with a knit upper made of recycled materials.
Taking inspiration from the lands “situated directly beneath the sun,” the shoe’s color scheme combines dessert tones with speckles of orange — these hues can be spotted across the design’s suede paneling. Meanwhile, the sneaker also welcomes all-new midsole and collar shapes to enhance the silhouette’s overall comfort and support. The notwoways graffiti motif can be spotted on the rubber hangtag, too, a feature first seen by the brand on the “kaki” colorway from 2022.
Mesh underlays continue to build on the brand’s sustainable initiative, while perforated touches allow for further breathability when on long, outdoor excursions. Rounding things off, the sneaker includes stretchy ankle support, providing an element of easy-on-easy-off accessibility alongside the sandy laces.
You can take a closer look at the new release from notwoways above and the sneaker will be available to shop via the brand’s official website from April 4 for £100 GBP (approx. $125 USD).
