Mackintosh SS23 Focusses on Form and Functionality

Glasgow-based imprint Mackintosh has presented a new collection for Spring/Summer 2023 and the brand has unveiled a masterclass in tailoring.

Last year, Mackintosh showcased some impressive work. For example, the imprint dropped a collection that was packed with understated excellence for Fall/Winter 2022, while the release came hot on the heels of a high-profile link-up with Samuel Ross’ A-COLD-WALL*. Now, the Scottish label is working on its own once again and its new collection is centered around an assemblage of technical elements across a slew of understated and contemporary pieces.

The collection starts with a new trench coat that is designed with a camouflage print throughout. The jacket is crafted with ripstop nylon and is complemented with a water-repellent finish and a drawstring hood. Additional side panels have also been included — concealed by snap buttons — and they allow for the silhouette to be extended at the hem.

Additionally, Mackintosh has also welcomed a leopard-print jacket. It includes a selection of functional elements that make the style adaptable — such as an adjustable tab in the interior — that are designed to attach to any of the collection’s interchangeable vests. Furthermore, the packable design can also be stored in a coordinating drawstring bag, which is marked with Mackinosh’s classic Dandy Man logo.

Rounding off the collection, Mackintosh includes a selection of accessories — including a yellow bucket hat — and a selection of further outerwear pieces and tailored trousers and shirts.

You can take a closer look at the new collection from Mackintosh above and it is available to shop via the brand’s official website now.
